Who Is LuMar Ventures Owner Michael Harris?
Michael was born and raised in the Dallas Metroplex area and began his career as an installer in the roofing industry in 1986. By 1998, he became an estimator and project manager for a local company specializing in insurance losses. He then obtained his adjuster's license and worked as a claims adjuster for two years. During this time, Michael recognized a dire need for better contracting services in the DFW area. In 2000, he reentered the construction field as a licensed general contractor, offering a higher level of client care. Through his work as a general contractor, Michael encountered clients who wanted to fix their homes before selling.
He knew first-hand the hassle and stress of repairing and renovating homes, so he offered to purchase the homes from the clients and fix it up himself to sell or rent. Michael has been able to leverage his passion for buying, renovating, and selling homes in a way that benefits clients and families who want to sell quickly.
Family-Owned and Operated
Michael and Maria have four sons: Bryan, Joshua, Luke, and Mark. For more than 20 years, they have operated a successful DFW roofing and remodeling business, BRYJO, named after sons Bryan and Joshua. LuMar Ventures is named after sons Luke and Mark. Michael and Maria work closely together in both business and are dedicated to integrity, honesty, and commitment to client satisfaction and community betterment.
As active members of their local community, Michael and Maria work diligently to ensure LuMar Ventures brings value to families and neighborhoods. They understand that homes are special, and the memories should be preserved, which is why Michael doesn't tear down homes and rebuild. Instead, he uses truthfulness, fairness, and integrity to purchase homes from families to renovate and then sell or rent—all the while respecting the home sellers and community as a whole.
